Happy New Year! To celebrate, we want to take a short moment to reflect on the exciting features ElectionBuddy introduced in 2024. It was a year of continuous improvement, and we're proud to have made significant strides in enhancing the functionality of ElectionBuddy. Here's a recap of the key updates we rolled out last year:
- The Results Center: a centralized dashboard to manage and share all voting results, making it easier for everyone to track progress and view outcomes for votes across your organization. Learn more
- Expanded Language Support: we strive for accessible democracy around the world, so we have increased our language offerings by adding many new ballot translations, including Bulgarian! See all languages ElectionBuddy supports.
- Branded Mail: add your logo to postcards, letters, printed notices and emails. This makes it easier for voters to recognize your communications. Learn more
- PDFs on Candidate Profiles: candidates can share detailed information such as resumes, biographies or historical details Learn more
- Expanded Candidate Nominations: candidates submit their candidate statement, a PDF, and their photo for an upcoming election ballot. Find out about nominations.
- Duplicating Ballot Questions: it’s easy to copy nominated candidates into the election ballot including their pictures and bios ballots with a few clicks. Or create template questions and use them too. Learn more
- Voting Group Reminders: a specific group of voters can receive a targeted reminder so you can create specific text for individual voter groups to increase turnout. Learn more
- Candidate Removal with Preferential: when a candidate withdraws from the race or becomes ineligible, if they ran for 2 positions or if they accept another position, they can be removed from the tally. This ensures accurate and up-to-date results. Preferential Voting
- Improved Paper Ballot Entry: with a new interface for paper ballot entry, making it easier than ever for administrators to manually input votes from paper ballots, including ballot preview and keyboard entry options with fewer mouse clicks. Learn more
- Minimum/Maximum Voter Choice Selection: as part of our commitment to flexibility, you can set minimum and maximum voter selection limits for any number of choices. For example, select 2 of 5, 1 of 4, 0 to 5, or whatever you need. Perfect for meeting specific bylaw requirements. Learn more
- Enhanced Video Ballots: candidates can include live speeches or personal biographies, bringing their message to life beyond text. Learn more
- Voting Percentages: for ballots with more than 1 winner, for example multiple board vacancies, the results can be shown either with percentages based on ballots cast or votes cast. Learn more
- Quorum and Winners: to more easily track and meet bylaw requirements, you can more easily track quorum (the minimum number of voters needed to validate an election) and winning thresholds (the minimum percentage a candidate or motion must receive to win). Learn more
