Feature Focus: Video Embedding

September 20, 2024

We know that reading a blurb of text doesn't appeal to everyone, so ElectionBuddy's text editor now has the ability to embed a video so that it appears right on the ballot. Simply make sure the video you want to include is hosted on an external site such as YouTube or Vimeo, and then add it to your ballot candidate profiles, ballot instructions, or confirmation page. Voters can watch and listen to a quick snippet before they cast their vote!

Why Include a Video?

With the ability to embed a video the options seem to be endless! Do you have a video of a candidate statement you want on the ballot? No worries! Maybe the amendment is complicated and you want to include a video walking through the changes? Handled!

Conclusion

Having videos embedded directly on the video was a common ask from many of our administrators, and we're glad that we've been able to implement this to our ballot building process! We hope our administrators and voters feel the impact of this change!
