Better Control of Proxy Voting

January 25, 2016

Within ElectionBuddy, we’ve have always allowed for proxy voting, but we’ve now made it easier for you to control.

Proxy voting is entrusting someone else the right to vote on your behalf, in accordance with your instructions. For example, at a corporate level, it allows corporations to cast votes on behalf of their shareholders, who may not be as directly involved in meetings where voting occurs. Or at the University level, an individual representative of a department could vote on behalf of the department head if they were more familiar with the issues.

Proxy voting in ElectionBuddy can now be easily toggled on or off. To enable, find the checkbox in Email Notice Setup under Step 3: Voter Setup. Proxy voting is now ready to use!

It’s just that easy. Let us know what you think!
