Accessing Your Ballot

A voters guide on notices and voting credentials
Whether you have voted with ElectionBuddy before, or are voting for the first time, the process is quick and easy! You should have received a notice to vote from ElectionBuddy by Email, SMS (text), Printed, or Postal Mail. Alternatively, your administrator may have emailed, mailed, printed, or hand-delivered a notice to you.
If the vote has started and you haven't received a notice, please check your email junk or spam folder for emails from invitations@mail.electionbuddy.com. If you are still unable to locate your Notice or Access Key, please contact your administrator. If you don't know who your administrator is, please reach out to ElectionBuddy and we can try to assist.

What is a Notice

Notices are your invitation to participate in the vote. The notices can contain the following information needed to access your ballot and cast your vote, or to contact your administrator.

  • Voting Credentials

  • Printed Notices may include a QR Code

  • Postal Notices may include a Paper Ballot

What are Access Keys/Credentials

To access your specific ballot, you will need to use the Access Keys (credentials) contained in the notice you received or have been provided to you by the administrator. Access Keys can be one of the following. These Access Keys are unique to each voter, and can only be used once.

  • 16 Digit Alpha-Numeric Key - ElectionBuddy creates a unique link per voter, with a random and secret access key for each voter. This is the Access Key used to access your ballot. They are single-use and unique to each voter.
